Harvard University is launching a new free tuition program for families earning less than $200,000. For families earning below $100,000, housing and health insurance costs will also be covered.
Expanding financial aid helps create a more diverse educational environment and enriches students’ experiences. Previously, only families earning less than $85,000 received aid from the university.
Harvard is keeping pace with other elite universities, such as MIT and the University of Pennsylvania, which have already introduced similar initiatives. This highlights a trend toward making education more accessible.
