Basketball legend and philanthropist Michael Jordan has opened a fourth family medical clinic in North Carolina in partnership with Novant Health. The new center will provide medical care to anyone in need, including people without insurance.

The first clinic, which opened in Wilmington less than a year ago, has already helped nearly 1,800 patients. Encouraged by its success, Jordan committed $10 million to open two more centers like it.

Alongside doctors, the team includes social workers who help patients access the resources they need. The project builds on a successful 2019 initiative, when two clinics opened in Charlotte to provide medical care to people who previously lacked access to doctors.
