"Gosuslugi", together with CIAN, has launched an online service that allows users to conclude rental agreements and arrange temporary registration fully online.
Now tenants and property owners no longer need to visit a public service center or gather stacks of paperwork — it is enough to complete the transaction through CIAN’s website or app, using an electronic signature in Gosuslugi or through the Goskey app. All contract templates have already been reviewed by lawyers, and participants’ data is pulled from government services, which ensures legal validity and security.
All sides of the process stand to benefit. Tenants receive official registration without paperwork, property owners get additional protection thanks to tenant identity verification, and real estate agents can save time on checks and paperwork.
In practice, most rental operations can now be completed directly from a smartphone. This reduces bureaucracy, saves time, and makes the market more transparent.
