American startup Tiiny AI has unveiled Pocket Lab, the world’s smallest personal AI supercomputer, officially recognized by the Guinness World Records. The device, about the size of a power bank, can autonomously run large language models with up to 120 billion parameters — without the cloud, servers, or GPUs.
The gadget runs on an energy-efficient ARMv9.2 processor (65 W) and uses TurboSparse and PowerInfer technologies, which help increase performance and reduce power consumption. All data is stored locally and protected with bank-level encryption. Pocket Lab supports the quick launch of popular open-source models.
Until now, advanced AI models have been available only through cloud services. That meant dependence on the internet, limited privacy control, and significant costs. Pocket Lab changes the rules: GPT-level artificial intelligence can now be used autonomously, with maximum protection of personal data and minimal energy consumption.
