A new device, PetPhone, has recently launched on the market—the first “smartphone” for pets. Now your dog can literally “call” you if it starts barking from boredom.

The gadget detects your pet’s sounds and sends you an alert. In turn, you can talk to your pet through the built-in speaker. It’s a way to say “stop chewing the couch” even when you’re on the other side of the city.

PetPhone also includes GPS, Wi‑Fi, and Bluetooth to help you track where your cat (again) went missing. Plus, it has health monitoring sensors—maybe the reason your pet sleeps all day isn’t just laziness.

This is more than a gadget: it’s a way to stay connected with a beloved pet over distance—and, at the same time, to check whether your cat really sleeps 18 hours a day, as you think.
