Studio Modem, together with developers and designers, has introduced Dream Recorder, a bedside AI device that turns memories of dreams into atmospheric video clips. After waking up, a person presses the record button and describes the dream aloud. The algorithm analyses the рассказ and creates a video in a chosen style — not a literal copy, but an artistic landscape that conveys the mood of the nocturnal images. In this way, it is possible to create a personal “visual dream diary” without notes or a notebook.

The device is autonomous and minimalist: it is not connected to apps or notifications, and only glows softly beside the bed. This approach helps preserve the atmosphere of rest without turning the gadget into another source of digital noise. Dream Recorder is open to everyone: the project has been published on GitHub, where instructions, code and a parts list are available. The корпус can be 3D-printed, and the device can be assembled by hand.

The authors emphasize that Dream Recorder could become not only an intriguing form of entertainment, but also a useful tool for creative people, psychologists and researchers. Dreams often inspire new ideas and discoveries.
