Apple announced the biggest rethinking of its operating systems in years. The main change is a radically new platform architecture, with artificial intelligence taking center stage. Now, AI is built directly into the system, works locally, and does not require sending data to the cloud. This is intended to improve security and speed at the same time—decisions are made right on the device.

Apple also devoted significant attention to the interface. The new Liquid Glass visual style makes elements feel nearly weightless and visually “floating.” Thanks to redesigned window controls, using the devices is said to be noticeably more convenient. Users can freely move and scale windows, launch multiple applications in parallel.

Among other updates are gesture control on Apple Watch, studio audio recording and photos with AirPods, automatic translation in FaceTime and Messages, notifications about camera contamination, and new workout functions through Workout Buddy. Apple also changed how it labels OS versions: now the version number corresponds to the year. This simple decision is meant to make the system more logical and eliminate confusion.

Apple did not just improve its operating systems—it changed the very foundation of the digital experience. Now AI is not a cloud-based assistant, but an internal part of the system, running quickly and privately.
