A federal online platform has begun operating in Russia, bringing together continuing professional education programs from leading public universities. The service is intended for specialists who want to improve their qualifications, learn new skills or undergo professional retraining. Instead of searching for courses on individual university websites, users get a single catalog of educational programs.

The platform is being created to combine the country’s best academic resources and develop a system of lifelong learning. The project is expected to help train specialists needed to raise labor productivity, improve business processes and strengthen the staffing potential of various sectors of the economy.

At the first stage, the platform features programs from 15 leading agricultural universities in Russia. The catalog is expected to expand later to include medical, technical and industrial universities. All programs undergo expert review, and classes are taught by doctors of sciences, researchers and practitioners. Training is available both in person and remotely, on a budget-funded or paid basis.

The platform is intended to make additional education more accessible to specialists from different regions of the country and to help spread modern industry knowledge more quickly. In the future, the unified federal resource could become an important part of the system of continuous professional education and greatly simplify the search for high-quality training programs.
