Chinese startup Butterfly Effect, backed by Tencent, has unveiled Manus AI, an advanced AI agent capable of solving complex tasks without detailed guidance. Unlike its counterparts, Manus AI is a fully autonomous AI agent that works without constant human intervention. It can plan, learn from user preferences and carry out several tasks at once.
Manus AI is built on a multi-model architecture that includes Claude and Qwen. The project has already attracted enormous interest: only a handful of people have access to it so far, but the developers plan to expand its capabilities through collaboration with Alibaba Cloud. This underscores China’s strategic drive to take a leading position in artificial intelligence.
